This special organic raw cacao block from Bahia brings the original diversity of the Brazilian rainforest directly to your cup. In southern Brazil, cacao is grown using the traditional Cabruca method, nestled within the natural vegetation of the Atlantic rainforest.

Its intense, full-bodied character combines pleasantly smoky aromas with delicate nutty and floral nuances. An expressive cacao that is suitable for both your personal cacao ceremony and everyday enjoyment.

The pure cacao mass can be portioned according to your needs. Whether you prepare a creamy cup in the morning, create a cacao ritual together with others, or use the cacao in your kitchen, this ceremonial raw cacao invites you to enjoy the moment mindfully.

Origin and Quality

Cacao cultivation has a long tradition in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Particularly characteristic is the Cabruca method, a form of agroforestry in which cacao trees grow under the protective canopy of larger forest trees.

Unlike large-scale monocultures, part of the natural forest structure is preserved. This method of cultivation promotes biodiversity and enables agriculture that takes the existing ecosystem into account.

The carefully harvested cacao beans are processed into a pure, aromatic cacao mass. For Ikuã, we have selected this special cacao and offer it under our own label.

Enjoyment and Use

· Morning rituals. For a mindful start to the day with a warming cup of cacao.

· Cacao ceremonies and meditation. As an accompaniment for personal rituals, yoga, and group circles.

· Cacao drinks for everyday enjoyment. For a creamy, intense chocolate drink, exactly to your taste.

· Creative cuisine. For enhancing desserts, smoothies, energy balls, or homemade chocolate.

Preparation and Recommended Dosage

For everyday enjoyment: approx. 18 g
For cacao ceremonies: approx. 36 g

For a creamy cup, cut off or finely grate approximately 30 g of cacao mass from the block and mix with 250 ml of warm water or plant-based drink.

Then stir thoroughly until the cacao mass is completely incorporated. The preparation is particularly creamy when using a milk frother.

For gentle preparation, we recommend a temperature of approximately 40 to 42 degrees to preserve heat-sensitive plant compounds as much as possible.

Season to taste with cinnamon, cardamom, chili, or a little coconut blossom sugar.

Flavor

Smoky, intense, and full-bodied with delicate nutty and floral nuances. A distinctive cacao with pleasant depth.

🤝 A connection that goes beyond trade

For Ikuã, cacao means much more than a high-quality natural product. Behind this special cacao from Bahia are people who keep a traditional form of agriculture alive with their work and knowledge.

The Cabruca method shows that cacao cultivation is also possible with respect for the forest, its biodiversity, and the local people. This connection between nature, agriculture, and community is something we want to make visible with our product range.

Because for us, it is not only the flavor in your cup that matters, but also the story behind it. With this cacao, we want to pass on the appreciation for its origin and the people who make it possible.
