These special organic raw cacao drops from Brazil bring a piece of Bahia's vibrant nature directly to your home. The cacao is grown in the Atlantic rainforest and cultivated using the traditional Cabruca method. Cacao trees thrive under the protection of larger forest trees, embedded in a diverse ecosystem.

This ceremonial raw cacao impresses with its intense, smoky, and full-bodied flavour. Delicate nutty and floral nuances give it a special depth. A cacao for people who appreciate natural enjoyment and want to consciously take time for themselves or for shared rituals.

The convenient form of the cacao drops makes the cacao mass particularly easy to portion and prepare. Whether as a warming morning ritual, for a cacao ceremony, or as a creamy hot cacao in between, you decide how your personal cacao moment should be.

Origin and Quality

In southern Bahia, one of Brazil's most biodiverse regions, cacao is traditionally grown using the Cabruca method. The cacao trees grow in the shade of native forest trees without having to completely displace the existing forest.

This form of agroforestry helps preserve habitats for numerous animal and plant species and promotes farming that respects nature.

The cacao beans are carefully harvested and processed. This produces pure cacao mass that retains the distinctive flavour of its origin. For Ikuã, we have selected this special cacao and offer it under our own label.

Preparation in a milk frother is particularly easy. For gentle preparation, we recommend a temperature of approximately 40 to 42 degrees to preserve heat-sensitive plant compounds as much as possible.

🤝 A connection that goes beyond trade

For Ikuã, cacao means far more than a high-quality natural product. Behind this special cacao from Bahia are people who keep a traditional form of agriculture alive through their work and knowledge. The Cabruca method shows that cacao can be grown while respecting the forest, its biodiversity, and the local people.

By adding this cacao to our range, we want to make such forms of cultivation visible. Because for us, it is not just about what ends up in your cup, but also where it comes from and under what conditions it was produced. Every cup thus combines enjoyment with a more conscious look at nature and its origins.
